the trashy bride

How trashed can the bride get at her wedding? And if she were to get trashed, at what point in the evening can that happen?

i think it is mandatory but should not happen until very late.

thread cautiously though, since you would not want to wake up only to realize that you have 'blacked out' and have proceeded to forget everything that happenned. that would be a shame.

additionally and i believe there are several schools of thoughts regarding this--this might compromise your performance during the so-called wedding night. although i guess nothing new ever happens at the wedding night so maybe it doesn t matter if you just pass out.

then again maybe getting trashed is more approprite for the bridal shower as well bachelorette s last night out.

    are these the same things??

I agree with el pres --better trashed as a bachelorette or even at the rehearsal. Puking in the the bridal suite does not sound like fun to me...

I'm not going to be hungover the day of the wedding - that would simply suck - so no getting trashed rehersal night.

bachelorette at murray's - obviously. this will be about 2-3 weeks before the wedding in providence. all on this blog are invited.

John and I have already planned not to "do" the wedding night. totally overrated. I'm going to pass out. I have the honeymoon for all the other crap. But I think that mariana makes a good point that I can't black out.

the more important question is not how much you will drink, but what you will drink.

is it champagne? i know that cost often prohibits bubbly in the open bar, but the bride can drink what she wants. will you have a signature cocktail? somehow it seems monumental, what drink you will consume at your wedding.

    signature cocktail!!!

    man I'm so behind...so behind.

    concepts?

oh and I'll be bringing my own stash of really high level stuff---and extra for "after hours" with the ladies when the reception shuts down...I'm thinking a case of wine and paying the dj to stay a few hours longer as long as the hotel will let us.

weird as it sounds, you might want to match your cocktail to your colors/theme. you can make the main alcoholic ingredient whatever your favorite happens to be, then accessorize your liquor with a complementary (color, flavor) mixer and frou-frou (i mean, classy) garnish. picking the signature cocktail will be way more fun than picking the appetizer.
