speaking of "proper attire," are you having the kind of reception that's going to require you to put that weird reminder phrase on your invitations? if it's not at a country club you don't really have to worry about dress code, but evenso, you want your guests to look respectable, right?

there will be no reminder - I trust that ladies know not to wear flip flops to the white house nor to my reception.
