gentlemaid of honor
so I'm interested in hearing what the duties are for the maid of honor - as ms. feldman is occupying this role I'd like to tortue him as much as I'm allowed.
I've never had ANY interest in a bachleorette party but now that simon has to plan it I'm desperate for it - I want him to have to arrange a lingerie party and buy me a panty set. so absurd.
I am going to decree that the maid of honor must post something AT LEAST every 48 hours.
those that know something about weddings please tell me the absolute LIMITS of what I can require ms. feldman to do for me.

Of course, I hapilly submit to the torture --with these paltry constraints:
1. I will not be stripping at the bachelorette party.
2. I will not be wearing a pastel suit at the wedding.
3. I will not set up any bridesmaids with any groomsmen --unless services and / or fees are rendered.
The party will be Murrey's right?

the bride's honor attendant must:
1. shop for dress, attend all fittings, assist in purchase of all accessories to the dress (foundational garments, tiaras, etc.)
2. organize bachelorette party and, if the ladies are being proper, the luncheon for the other bridal attendants.
3. organize the bridal shower. the whole thing. invitations and catering. records gifts at the shower and provides addressed thank you cards for the bride to write.
4. buy the bride a fabulous gift for the shower, bachelorette party, and wedding
5. diet with the bride
6. make a toast at the reception
7. escort the bride to and from the ladies room at the reception. if the bride's dress requires it, the gentlemaid must help hold up the skirts while the bride pees. this is a simple sartorial fact. likewise, if the bride had long hair, the gentlemaid must hold it back while the bride vomits, before, during, and after the ceremony.
8. assure the comfort of the bride at all times during the day in question. stands ready with a cocktail. drink orders of the entire bridal party should be taken a few days before the event.
9. make a fool of himself trying to catch the bouquet.
10. dance with the best man (or alternate groom's honor attendant) at the reception.

Why do I feel that Simon has been fulfilling maid of honor duties for each and all of the ladies for a long, long time?
But I implore you to reconsider the No Stripping decree, Simon. You want us to have fun, don't you?
