i do, but i don't

usually wedding stuff doesn't really cross my radar, but i saw the author of this book on a talk show (prior to the vp's announcement) and it's stuck with me. the woman seemed like a lady. and writing and publishing a book about your own wedding adventures seems like something. she was appalled by her own engagement ring and not afraid to say so. this impressed me.

the title alone is intriguing. weddings are so bizarre.

I'm not into bling like my mother, but an engagement ring is fo'eva so its got to be quality.

What do we think of this wedding look --ring worn OVER white gloves?

on occasion the ring over glove can be classy as a fashion statement. but theoretically you want nothing between you and your ring. you will see bridal shops selling gloves that have been tailored so as to release the ring finger. very gauche.

can we talk about the ring? i am obsessed with the classic tiffany 6 prong setting on a round stone. i don't want to get married nearly as much as i want one of these engagement rings.

I've always wanted one of those simple platinum rings from Tiffany's with the small round diamond. They are so lovely.

What do we think of non-traditional stones for engagement rings, i.e. sapphires, etc.? Some of them are beautiful, but I can't stand the yellow diamonds. They look like someone peed on them. I'm sorry, but they do.

this is the ring I like: and tiffany's does have the best rings.

as for ms. zuroski's question - Diamonds only - why - because people that get different stones are trying way too hard to get noticed by being different. these women are annoying.
